Freestone 2021

Stone-fired raku clay with soil and ash glaze - 15 pieces 20cmx10cmx0.4cm approximately

This project explores the marking of the Freestone Creek with oval pieces made from stone-fired raku clay and glazed with found materials of soil and ash. The placing of the fired clay along the stream draws attention to the flowing water, the green reeds and sandstone bed and builds a relationship between the artist/viewer and the natural feature. A path is created that creates focus in the landscape that has no limits.
